史上最年少、史上初の世界連覇、二冠のチャンピオン荒木珠里（kanaka沖縄所属）が技術やクロストレーニングの指導をします。将来世界に羽ばたきたいジュニア選手と真剣にSUPレースに向き合う大人の方が対象です。レッスン後にレース本番のコース試走します。

Shuri Araki, the youngest ISA world champion in the history, will teach paddle techniques and cross training. This class is for U18Junior who want to spread their wings in the world in the future, and adults who are serious about SUP racing. After that, everyone will test run the actual race course.

本イベントは手付かずの天然の砂浜で、地域コミュニティーへ最大の配慮のもと開催します。

地元住民の協力に参加者全員が感謝の気持ちを忘れないよう努めましょう。

会場への移動中に騒音やゴミを出さないよう、ご配慮ください。

This event will be held on a pristine natural sandy beach with the utmost consideration for the local community.

All participants should try to remember to be grateful for the cooperation of the local residents.

Please be careful not to make noise or litter while moving to, and at the venue.

O2Ysummerの"選考会免除"を希望する方々へ

O2Y winter（O2Ysummer国内選考会）について問い合わせを多くいただいていますので改めてご説明します。O2Ysummer（沖縄-与論海峡縦断ダウンウインドレース）は約30kmの海峡縦断であり安全管理の面で非常にリスクの高いSUPイベントです。よって「海を渡る心身の準備」が大切です。関係者全員が安全に海を渡ることはレース結果以上に最優先しております。そのためには選手同士そして運営スタッフや伴走船長らとのコミュニケーションが大変重要です。O2Y winter（選考会）はその目的も重要視していますこと、どうぞご理解ください。

現在O2Y summerの受け入れ人数は外国人選手含め約30名。安全確保体制と協議して最終的な人数は春に決定します。もしsummerエントリーに空きがあった場合のみ、O2Y winter（選考会）を通過していない方々の受入れを検討致します。以上が選考会免除に対しての公式返答とさせていただきます。最後になりますが、O2Yの開催趣旨『島嶼県沖縄の島々を人力で渡ることで人と人、島と島、過去の歴史と未来を繋ぎ人々に夢と希望を与える。SUP普及を通し自然環境保護と青少年育成に寄与する。』を改めて皆さまへご理解いただきますよう、よろしくお願いいたします。

For those who wish to be “exempted from the preliminary round”

We have received many inquiries about O2Y winter (O2Y summer domestic/Japanese selection event), so we would like to explain it again. O2Ysummer (Okinawa-Yoron Strait Downwind Race) is a 30km long strait traversal and is a high-risk SUP event in terms of safety management. So, are you mentally and physically ready to cross the ocean? The safe crossing of the sea for everyone involved is a top priority, even more so than the race result. To achieve this, communication between athletes, management staff, escort captains, and others is extremely important. Please understand that the purpose of O2Y winter (selection race) is also important. We would like to respond to your request for exemption from the preliminary round. "If there is space in the summer entries, we will consider accepting those who have not passed the preliminary round.'' Currently, O2Y summer accepts around 30 people, including foreign athletes. The final number of participants will be decided in the spring after consultation with the safety assurance system. Lastly, the purpose of O2Y is "By crossing the islands of Okinawa, an island prefecture, we connect people to people, island to island, past history and future, and give people dreams and hopes. Contribute to natural environment protection and youth development through the spread of SUP." Thank you once again for your understanding.
