沖縄生まれ、沖縄育ち。生粋の海人（漁師）の孫として海の前で生まれ育つ。物心つく前から父の影響でSUPを始め小学2年から珊瑚礁から外洋へ漕ぎ出す。
11歳でアメリカPPG世界選手権にて小学生部門の世界チャンピオン、13歳で世界最高峰の海峡縦断レースモロカイチャレンジへ史上最年少で完漕。15歳史上最年少でAPPワールドツアーに選出されデビュー戦で3位に入り世界を驚かせた。2022年ISA世界選手権で二冠、16歳で史上最年少のSUPワールドチャンピオンへ。2023-2024-2025年と世界選手権4年連続で優勝するという快挙を達成した。トレーナーの父とともに、体格に負けない効率の良い漕ぎと、オリジナルで開発したレースボード「刀」を武器に世界のSUP界をリードする。SUPは将来オリンピックで種目化される可能性もあり未来の金メダルの有力候補と呼ばれている。

Born and raised in Okinawa, he grew up in front of the ocean as the grandson of a true fisherman. Inspired by his father, he started SUP before he could even remember, and in the second grade of elementary school, he began paddling from the coral reef into the deep sea. At age 11, he became the world champion in the elementary school division at the PPG World Championships in the United States. At age 13, he became the youngest person ever to complete the FOIL division of the Molokai Challenge, the world's most prestigious transoceanic race. At age 15, he became the youngest person ever to be selected for the APP World Tour, and surprised the world by placing third in his debut race.

In 2022, he won a double crown at the ISA World Championships, and at age 16, he became the youngest SUP World Champion in history. He then achieved the remarkable feat of winning the World Championships four years in a row in 2023, 2024, and 2025.

Together with his father, his trainer, he leads the global SUP world with his efficient paddling style that rivals his physique and his original race board, the "Katana." SUP may become an Olympic event in the future and is said to be a strong contender for a future gold medal.

荒木汰久治（あらきたくじ）/ Kanaka沖縄主宰 51才

熊本県出身。世界最高峰の海峡横断レース"モロカイチャレンジ"に、サーフスキー、カヌー、プローンパドルボード、SUP、Foilとこれまで35回の日本人最多出場を誇る。国内ではライフセービングとSUP、異競技で全日本選手権を優勝。41才で全日本SUP選手権を史上最年長で優勝。現在はSUPレース主宰(今年で12年目)や、珠里はじめ国内外の競技指導、レースボードデザインに勢力を注いでいます。

Born in Kumamoto Prefecture, and living Okinawa for the last 20+years. He has participated in the world's highest strait crossing race "Molokai Challenge", surf ski, OC1/6, pron paddleboard, SUP, foil, and has participated in 35 times. He won the All Japan Championships in lifesaving, and SUP for both different water sports. At the age of 41, he became the oldest winner in the history of the All Japan SUP Championships. He currently presides over SUP races (this year marks 12th year), coaching athletes, including Shuri, and designs racing boards.
